This is a dedicated space for gathering, learning, reflection and ceremony.  It is a place to connect with one another, the land, and All Our Relations and honours Indigenous ways of being in a good way.

The area includes:

  •  The Healing Forest Memorial which is part of the National Healing Forests initiative.  It aims to support a nationwide network of green spaces dedicated to reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous People. It is a reminder of the ongoing impact of the Residential Schools, and the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Two-Spirit People.
  • The Healing Circle with its seven limestone seats, the Seven Sacred Teachings plaques, the 13 Moon calendar stones surrounding the central Sacred Fire, with an eastern door entrance meant as a gathering space for guiding us in a good way, often in ceremony.
  • The Medicine Garden beneath the Healing Circle inerpretative plaque is planted with some of the sacred medicines used for smudging and healing. It honours knowledge passed down through generations.
