Shawn Pankow, Mayor of Smiths Falls and the Town of Smiths Falls invites community members and guests to join us on September 30 for a National Day for Truth and Reconciliation Ceremony. Together, we will honour survivors, remember the children who never returned home, and reflect on the lasting impacts of residential schools.Members of the community and guests are asked to gather at Centennial Park at 4:45 PM. Participants will then proceed together, walking to Duck Island, where the ceremony will take place at the Healing Circle.
