The History of Indigenous Peoples in Rideau Lakes

Welcome to the official opening of The History of Indigenous Peoples in Rideau Lake: An Archaeological Approach on June 21, 2025, at 7 pm, with a presentation by exhibition researcher and writer Ted Stewart, a respected local archaeological technician. Ted will guide guests through 10,000 years of Indigenous presence in our region—from the Paleo and Archaic periods, through Woodland, Contact, and into the present—offering a deeper understanding of a history too often untold.
